Meet the Chef

There’s nothing I love more than discovering a new restaurant in a small, charming town—especially one where the chef doesn’t just cook a great dish but creates a whole experience to enjoy. That’s exactly what we set out to do back in 2018 when we launched A Taste of Plain Catering as a way to serve our community with food that brings people together.

I’ve been in the culinary world for over 15 years. After culinary school, I worked my way up from a prep cook to owning a Mexican restaurant. That journey is what eventually led me to catering, where I discovered my true passion: creating exciting, thoughtful menus for special events that people will remember.

After moving from Northern California, I landed in the beautiful Plain Valley and took on the role of executive chef at Mountain Springs Lodge. That’s where I met my wife, Jamie—and from there, the dream of returning to my roots and owning my own business was reignited.
In 2018, we founded A Taste of Plain, and soon after, began a partnership with Plain Cellars. Since then, we’ve been proudly serving our valley with fresh, ever-changing weekly menus from our food truck. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re so grateful to be part of this community.
